When was the Sugherificio born? Some brief information about the company ...The Sugherificio di Bussolengo Srl was founded about 50 years ago. Always betting on quality, it has been able to capitalize on the good results achieved by investing in research and technology, developing machinery of our own construction and design. We have our research laboratory within the company, able to carry out continuous tests.
The strength of the company is the know-how, that is the set of theoretical and practical knowledge that is the true success of a company. To this we add a rigorous organization of the work and a deep understanding of the field.
We work with the utmost commitment so that the cork stoppers reach the highest quality standards in order to meet the most demanding requirements of those working in the oenological world.
When did you start collaborating with Farina? The collaboration with Farina begun approximately in 2016.
What products do you provide? We supply natural corks for Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone wines.
How are the corks made?In jargon we call it "calibrated cork": after extraction from the plants, follows an outdoor ageing period of about a year, then it is boiled and ironed at 100 ° C. When the sheets are dry, they are cut into strips and then we dry-cut them vertically, creating the single-piece cork.
In collaboration with the winery we set suitable measures for their bottles. In the end, various sanitizing and stabilization systems are applied before customization and packaging. The last step is the shipping and therefore the use in the cellar.
What is your relationship with Farina? With the owner, Claudio Farina, there’s a professional relationship and mutual trust.
What does it mean to be a supplier for a winery?Being a supplier for a winery, in particular for Farina, means great satisfaction, considering their high brand reputation and professionalism.
