Getting Form

Elio confers his grapes to Farina, and he is not alone, he can count on the help of his brothers-in-law, who give him a hand. Together with them it makes this activity, even if in its small way, as efficient and productive as possible. He considers himself an enterprising worker, who is willing to sacrifice himself to obtain good results, above all to benefit from the satisfaction that only this work, after so much effort, is able to give. For a couple of years he has also been a driver for Farina: during the harvest period he takes care of going to the various lenders to pick up the grapes and take them to the farm.

Intervista

When did you start providing your grapes to Farina?
My family has been collaborating for several years with Farina, we have been giving our grapes to them for about 20 years. As in most of the best collaborations, we came to meet the company through one of our contacts, who recommended them. Since then we established a relationship of trust and mutual respect that over time has even become friendship. The collaboration moved from the simple transfer of the grapes to something different.

What kind of partnership do you have in addition to the supply of the grapes?
Besides supplying the grapes of our vines, we also have a more active role. For a couple of years I'm also the driver for them: in the harvesting period I go to various suppliers to pick grapes and I take them to the company. Moreover, my sister and her husband, also involved in the management of the vineyard, select for Farina the best grapes to be put to wither to realize the Amarone. They are very good in the selection of the best grapes due to years of experience.

What is your favorite wine in the Farina selection?
Amarone and Ripasso. They are undoubtedly their best wines, those that I prefer pairing with my favorite food. It is always a pleasure to drink quality wine.

What adjective would you give Farina as a company?
It is a company that knows what sacrifice and perseverance mean to achieve a good result. The company has an advanced organizational system that knows how to renew itself and grow.
Despite the success, they never lost sight of what their origins are, the importance of having good human relations, the respect and rewards they have for those who helped and who is continuing to do so, such as its employees, suppliers and transferors.

Who is involved in the management of the vineyard? Are you alone or do you get any help?
I'm not alone, my brothers in law give me a hand. Together with them we make this activity, even if in a small way, the most efficient and productive as possible.

What adjective would you give yourself as a winegrower?

I am a resourceful worker who is willing to sacrifice to get good results, especially to benefit from the satisfaction that only this work, after so much effort, is able to give you.
